Wild Marlow Photo Competition Winners Announced

Neil Richards

This year’s standard for Wild Marlow’s Photo Competition was ‘extremely high’ according to the judging panel. They were faced once again with a difficult decision, with many beautiful photos of local wildlife submitted.

The winners are:

Junior School:

Winner – Theo Walker

Runner-up – Imogen Bater

Senior School:

Winner – Ben Mills

Runner-up – Skylar Regan

Adult:

Winner – Neil Richards

Runner-up – Graham Parkinson

The best photos in each category will be featured at the 2024 Wild Marlow photo exhibition and in the Wild Marlow 2025 calendar, on sale soon. The winners will also take away a total of £300 in prize money.

The aim of the contest was to stimulate interest in and appreciation of the wildlife and habitats of the Marlow area.

“We were impressed at the quality of the entries,” Jon Perry of Marlow Camera Club, one of the judges, said. “It was a tough call! These photos demonstrate both the variety and beauty of the wildlife in and around Marlow, and the photographic skills of all the entrants.”

The public will have the opportunity to see the winning photos on Saturday 26th October at All Saints’ Church Hall, The Causeway, Marlow from 10.30 – 4.30, when Wild Marlow will exhibit the twelve photos to be featured in the calendar, along with the very best of the entries. The prizes for the winners of the three age categories will be awarded at the exhibition, and the new calendar will be on sale. Visitors will have the chance to vote for their favourite photo, The People’s Choice, on the day.
