Fantastic workparty on Sunday 8th September at Marlow Fire Station continuing work on the wildflower restoration area
Tony from Chiltern Rangers braved the early showery weather to do some heavy work cutting this year’s vegetation growth – quite hard going given the recent rainfall, but he did a great job helping us out enormously
Then a dream team of volunteers raked up all the arisings, to prevent nutrients re-entering the soil, aiding next year’s wildflowers
We also tidied up the edges, repaired the bund, planted more spring bulbs and sowed yellow rattle seed in some bare patches
We were so pleased with the biodiversity displayed this year and can’t wait to see what grows in spring Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped with this project, it’s great to see the progress
