Buckinghamshire’s Country Flower

1

Do you know the Buckinghamshire county flower?
It is the rather stunning Chiltern Gentian – considered to be one of the prettiest gentians, it is a rare plant in the UK. As the name suggests It favours the chalk grasslands of the Chilterns 💜
It blooms late August to early September and you can see them at their best at Marlow’s SSSI site Homefield Wood https://www.bbowt.org.uk/nature-reserves/homefield-wood
