BUILD A HOME FOR WILDLIFE FROM YOUR GARDEN TRIMMINGS

There is always a time for a bit of trimming and garden maintenance and although nature likes you to leave things alone, a bit of a tidy up is what we need. However, do not be tempted to chuck all those twigs in the green bin, firstly you are taking resources and energy from your garden and giving it away, you could be doing something a whole lot more useful with it, you could make a brush pile, a home for birds, amphibians, bugs and a larder of food too!

You can select a spot and pile the trimmings up, larger pieces as the base and small ones at the top. If you are after something a bit more sculptural, why not make a wonderful dead hedge. Wildly stylish and useful!
