A PLANT FOR A POT - Salvia is loved by bees and butterflies.
The salvia plant family is a banquet for all pollinators–including bees and butterflies. Sun-loving salvias grow easily, are beautiful, look fab for ages, and are generally tolerant of dry conditions. Which means us humans dig them too, with many of them working well in pots as well as the borders of your garden. There are hundreds of different salvias; but some you could look out for as they are readily available and good for pollinators! Look for the ones in the garden centre that have pollinator friendly signs on them and are winter hardy as they will come up again year after year. Winner!
